Alan Wogan, David Caffrey, and Ronan Wogan are not your average run-of-the-mill suit-and-tie folks. They’re more like the Batman, Robin, and Alfred of the business world (minus the capes and masks, of course).
Alan, our CEO, has a knack for seeing into the future of the industry, while David, our COO operations maestro, can turn a problem into a solution faster than you can say “coffee break.” And then there’s Ronan, our CFO, who brings thought leadership to the table like it’s his morning cereal.
Together, they’re like a well-tuned orchestra, with Alan conducting the symphony, David keeping everyone in rhythm, and Ronan providing the electrifying solos. But don’t be fooled by their fancy titles – they’re just as likely to crack a joke as they are to close a deal.

1974
John P. Wogan begins retailing furniture in Dunleer, Co. Louth, Ireland.
1981
John P. Wogan imports his first containers from Holland.
1983
Furniture Link International established.
1983
John could see a gap in the market for lower cost furniture than what was being produced locally in Ireland and took his first flight to Taipei in Taiwan in 1983.
John then bought the premises at Market Street in Ardee in 1983 which had substantial warehousing and allowed him the space & capacity to start importing containers directly.
1989
To accommodate the growth of the business, Furniture Link move to 100,000 sq ft. premises in Dundalk, Co. Louth.
1990s
This was a period of sustained growth for Furniturelink International.
There was a sustained move from a sourcing model that was dominated by Malaysian produced dining products into a more rounded product range which began to include sofa.
By the mid 1990’s China had become the dominant source of supply.
Then in 1998 Vida were one of the earliest companies to enter Vietnam and sourcing of Vietnamese produced goods began.
2005
Opening of largest furniture facility in UK and Ireland of the time at 200,000 sq. ft.
2006
Begin working with product designers to develop collections.
2012
Exhibit for the first time at Chinese International Furniture Fair to sell VIDA designs to retailers from across the world.
2013
Acquisition of Wilkinson Furniture business in the UK.
2015
Rebranded as VIDA Living. Opened office and showroom in Vietnam with expanded production team in Asia.
2018
Appointment of Alan Wogan as Managing Director.
2020
Company organisational restructure which included formal appointment of Vida’s executive team, directors and senior leadership team to better position the company for future growth.
2022
Welcome return to international travel and buying after a 2 year gap due to the pandemic.
2023
UK move to a new upgraded facility in Manchester.
